Fort Hood Tactical Equipment Shop FY02

Provided the telecommunications engineering services for a new 56,000 square foot tactical equipment shop. The shop consisted of Repair Bays, weapons vault, administration areas, storage rooms, and core areas. The telecommunication design consisted of Cat 5E cabling to the work area outlets, a communication ductbank system around the perimeter of the facility for future IBCT communications. Singlemode and copper cables were routed via a new communication ductbank to a remote facility. The communication design conformed to the Ft Hood 1114th Signal Battalion Directorate of Information Management Building Communications Wiring Standard. This project was a design-build project with an estimated budget of $6.3 million.
