Location: Galveston, Texas

Provided electrical engineering services for replacement of the airfield lighting, Nav-Aids and Vault Building, all of which were damaged during Hurricane Ike. The new vault building was located at an elevation at 16’ above BFE and consisted of a 120KVA generator, 6 regulators, new Airfield Lighting Control System with fiber backbone. All existing T/W MITL edge lights were replaced with LED type lights. The MIRL and HIRL R/W Edge lights were replaced on R/W 17-35 and R/W 13-31, respectively. The existing four 4-box PAPI’s were replaced, the REILs and windcone were replaced. All existing airfield cable was also replaced under this project. The construction cost for the electrical work was $2 million.
