Katy Junior High School #10 (Bechendorf)

Provided telecommunications, security and audio/visual services for the facility. The building is a new 180,000 square-foot junior high school located in the Katy Independent School District. The school consists of classrooms, gymnasium, administrative and support areas. The telecommunications design included Cat 5E to the desktop, fiber optic backbone and wireless access throughout. Fiber was also taken to a site manhole to tie into the school systems technology center. The security system primarily consisted of motion detection, cameras and access controlled portals. The audio visual systems consisted of a sound reinforcement system, general PA, RF distribution, cafeteria system and gymnasium system. The construction cost was $15.565 million.
